Regardless of whether you prescribe to the opinion that this lot are as fake as fuck (formed at Cambridge, openly privileged, etc.) you cannot deny that this is a brilliant noise. I've never had time for all that exclusionary stuff. It doesn't matter to me if you went to Eton or to Grange Hill, bang out a cracking pop song and I am on board. There's a fair amount that 90s Britpop growl going on here, but it doesn't sound dated. It's shouty in the right places and it's making me want to see what else they have to offer.
