It is a known fact that not every RuPaul single is a killer. But when he gets it right, it's always next fucking level, and 'The Queendom' is one of those moments. Yes, it's a remix, so the ball isn't entirely in Mr Charles' court here. But there's no denying that the vocal is kickass, and that chanted hook is everything, making what is already a massive rework hit even harder. It's giving me flashbacks to the Brothers In Rhythm spin on Michael Jackson's 'Wanna Be Starting Something' in places, and I can't give it higher praise than that, really.
