Pete Tong, Roro, Jules Buckley - Rhythm Of The Night

I am not happy. Corona's '90s version of 'Rhythm Of The Night' is a banger for a number of reasons. But my favourite thing about it was the fact that, outside of the chorus and that transcendent riff, the vocals were almost completely unintelligible. For example, the third line of the first verse sounds like she's singing, 'Take me to Taunton and, Baby, I'll make you a steak'. It's magnificent in every single way. This sterilised, joyless, and rather depressing rework from Pete Tong and his 'Let's Destroy the Classics for Cash' side project removes the fun from the original.
