Taken from Orville Peck's upcoming duets album and following on from the amazing 'Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other' with Willie Nelson, Kylie Minogue has boarded the project, and now we have 'Midnight Ride'. I'm a huge fan of both artists (putting the problematic Diplo to one side for a minute), and their vocals work together flawlessly. But the complete home run I had hoped for, unfortunately not. It's a solid enough single with a chorus you'll have in your head for weeks. But it's clearly been designed for maximum radio play, resulting in an overly cautious track.
