If I may, I'm going to talk about Girls Aloud for a second. Their glittering career was a near perfect run of incredible singles. Bearly a dud amongst them (Sorry, 'I Think We're Alone Now'). It's been almost twenty years, but I think we finally have a pretender to their crown in the shape of Blusher. I first heard 'Backbone' in 2022, and since then, they've been unfailingly slamming out banger after banger, each of them beyond fabulous. Such is the case with 'Somebody New', a modern Electro-Pop Masterpiece with the biggest chorus I've heard in absolute ages. Essential.
