I've mentioned this before, but a fair amount of my teenage years was spent in army boots, chucking myself into like-minded people to loud punk and Indie sounds. To this day, whenever I hear a song like the fucking fantastic 'Jerkin'' by Amyl and The Sniffers, I have to fight the urge to slam myself straight into the kitchen wall. An unapologetically obnoxious and aggressive track aimed directly at internet trolls and critics, this triggers many happy memories of me flying around in dark rooms with sticky floors to amazing bands like The Violent Femmes, Daisy Chainsaw, and Mudhoney. Essential.
